Dwight Buddy Sellers, Sr.

Dwight Buddy Sellers, Sr., 83, of Gastonia, passed away July 9, 2015 at Gastonia Care and Rehabilitation. He was born February 8, 1932, native of Gaston County, son of the late, Alton George and Lula Mae Sellers. Dwight was a US Army Veteran. He retired from Duke Energy. He was a former member of Love Memorial Baptist Church and is a member of W. 5th Avenue Freewill Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of over 43 years, Mildred Johnson Sellers; children, Dwight Buddy Sellers, Jr., Greg Sellers and Deanna Marie Sellers; grandchildren, Kathryn Farr, Mary, Michael and Matthew Sellers; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Gabriel Sellers. A funeral service will be held 4 pm Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Richard Cole. The family will receive friends 7 - 9 pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to W. 5th Ave Freewill Baptist Church - 2145 W. 5th Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
