Doug Hullender

October 2, 1926 — June 9, 2017

Doug Hullender, 90, of Dallas, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at his home.

He was born October 2, 1926, in Gaston County, son of the late Clyde Benjamin Hullender and Lula Mae Neill Hullender.

Doug was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Kings Mountain. He was a US Navy WWII Veteran and Eagle Scout.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Frances Hullender, and brother, Neil Hullender.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Sandra Mullinax and husband, Bill, Jean Robinson and husband, Tom; sister, Kay Sexton; grandchildren, Dustin Mullinax, Jaime Smith and husband, Michael, Meredith Hagar and husband, Dee, Matt Robinson; and great grandchildren, Gracie Hagar, Will Hagar, Skylar Smith, and Ryne Smith.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Don Williams, will be held 2pm on Monday, at the First Wesleyan Church of Kings Mountain, 505 N Piedmont Ave, Kings Mountain.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be held at Mt. Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Wesleyan Church, 505 N Piedmont Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Digby and the Staff of Gaston Medical Group.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
