Doug R. Bolynn

Doug R. Bolynn, 64, of Gastonia passed away August 1, 2013 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born April 10, 1949 in Gaston County son of Alene Bryant Bolynn and the late Boyd L. Bolynn. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052, officiated by Rev. Dan Shortridge. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. He loved life, people, and putting model cars together. Mr. Bolynn is survived by: his sons, Randy and Scott Bolynn; daughters, Angela Haney, Janet Bolynn; brother, Tim Bolynn and wife Joan; sisters, Betty Hanna and husband Gene, Karen Shortridge and husband Rev. Dan Shortridge; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by: his brother and sister in law, Lellon and Sue Bolynn.
