Dorothy Warren Williams, 82, of Dallas, NC, passed away at her home on February 1, 2024.
Dorothy was a member of Loray Baptist Church in Gastonia. She was past president of the Dallas Woman's Club. She served on the Arbitration Board of the North Carolina State Credit Union. Dorothy "Dot" was deputized as a deputy for Dwight Beam. She retired from the North Carolina Judicial Criminal System after 32 years of service.
She loved her cats and her wonderful horse, Chief.
Dorothy was born in Gaston County, NC on August 29, 1941, to the late Allen Warren and Bertha Mauney Warren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Walker; brother, Bobby Warren; and grandchild, Chris Walker.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of over 52 years, Roger D. Williams; daughters, Sonja Basinger (Greg Kincaid), Angela Kennington, and Leigh Ann Theofanous (John); grandchildren, Josh Walker (Tasha), Collier Kennington, Isabella Theofanous, Graham Kennington, and Ava Theofanous; and a great-grandson, Josh Walker, Jr.
The family will receive friends at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, between 12:30 and 2:00 pm.
A service to celebrate the life of Dorothy, officiated Pastor Tony Phillips, will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. Entombment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery, 1462 Armstrong Ford Road, Belmont, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine Cancer Institute, c/o Breast Cancer Center, 1021 Morehead Medical Drive, Charlotte, NC 28204.
