Dorothy Faye Parker, 63, of Gastonia, passed away November 20, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 27, 1954, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late William Howard Sumner and Faye Porter Sumner.
Dorothy was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church. She loved to paint and spend time with her grandchildren. She loved her dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, David Parker; sons, Joey Haas, and Chris Parker of Gastonia; daughters, Amy Ledford of Mt. Holly and Chasity McCall of Gastonia; brother, Michael Sumner of Bessemer City; sisters, Gloria French and Barbara Carr of Gastonia; grandchildren, Alex, Aaron and Ayden Ledford, Liam Haas, Nathan Tadlock, Skyler and Hunter McCall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmie Sumner.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – West Chapel 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Roger Overton.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
