Dorothy Lee Mayhue

Dorothy Lee Mayhue, 65, of Gastonia, passed away June 8, 2014 at her residence. She was born October 9, 1948, native of Gastonia, daughter of the late, Joseph and Vella Mae Martin. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Dan White. The family will receive friends 7 - 9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park. Dorothy is survived by, husband, Terry Mayhue; daughter, Arlene Carroll; brother, James T. Martin; sister, Barbara McCrosky, brothers, Herbert and Hubert Martin; grandchildren, Charlie Moore IV, Daniel T. Moore and James M. Moore; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Rodrigez and Jacob Martin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, daughter, Angela Abrams; brother, Wilmer Martin and sister, Francis Simms. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
