Dorothy "Dot" Foy Clark

October 20, 1932 — April 13, 2017

Dorothy "Dot" Foy Clark, 84, of Gastonia, passed away on April 13, 2017, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born October 20, 1932, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Livie Lindsay Foy and Willie Maude Hanna Foy.

Mrs. Clark was a lifelong member of Pisgah ARP Church, Gastonia, where she served as a Deacon and in the church nursey.

Dot loved her family deeply and always put their needs before her own.

She was retired from Gaston Motors Parts, where she worked as a bookkeeper.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, April 17, 2017, at Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 Linwood Road, Gastonia, and will be officiated by the Rev. Rick Lewis.

The family will receive friends from noon – 1:45pm in the Elliot Center prior to the service.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Claude F. Clark; daughter, Kathy Clark Goins; sons, Claude Clark (Anne), Luther Clark, (Angela); grandchildren, Heath Parsons, Hanna Butler (TJ), Ross, Payton, Abbey, Jessica, and Lucas Clark; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Meadow Parsons; brothers, Don Foy (Nell), Harvey Foy (Betty); sisters, Helen Littlejohn(Richard), Patricia Carver (Vernon); brother-in-law, Earl Becker; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Polly Withers (David), Betty Cloninger (Larry), Mary Francis Foy.

Memorials may be sent to Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 Linwood Road, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
