Dorothy Blair Martin

Dorothy "Dot" Blair Martin, 85, native of Gaston County passed away December 27, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. She was born December 23, 1929, daughter of the late Pinkney Osborne Martin and Letha Shields Martin. Ms. Martin loved and cared for her mother and father until their passing. She was an avid reader and a member of Ridge Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Ridge Hoppers and the Ridge Baptist Trio. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Hollywood Cemetery, Broad Street, Gastonia. Ms. Martin is survived by her cousin, Norma Stover whom she loved as a sister; second cousins, Tim and Keith Stover who thought of "Dot" as their second mother; and numerous other cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant brother, Dewey Martin.
