Doris "Caroline" Littlejohn, 39, of Gaston, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Born on February 8, 1987, in Bartow, Florida, Caroline was the daughter of Parmella "Sissy" Caroline Foy and Dwayne Foy.
At the tender age of 12, Caroline accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, beginning her journey of faith.
Caroline pursued her passion for cooking by studying Culinary Arts at Central Piedmont Community College. She later attended Gaston College, where she received her education and training as a Medical Assistant.
Caroline was a loving, kindhearted, and compassionate woman with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. Although naturally shy and reserved, she possessed a strong, independent personality and was never afraid to speak her mind. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a playful nature, and a special way of bringing laughter and joy to those around her.
Blessed with a creative spirit, Caroline enjoyed cooking, crafting, and making beautiful things with her hands. She had a natural sense of style and took pride in her appearance. Her creativity, unique personality, and thoughtful gestures were just a few of the many qualities that made her so special.
Above all, Caroline was selfless and devoted to those she loved. She willingly placed the needs of others before her own and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Although she had no biological children, she lovingly embraced the children in her life as her own. She was a nurturing presence, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. Whether helping with hair and nails, providing a ride, or simply being there when needed, Caroline gave freely of herself without hesitation.
Caroline carried that same compassion into her work as a Medical Assistant at Carlmont Vascular Center in Gastonia, North Carolina, where she cared for others with kindness, dedication, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
Caroline will forever be remembered for her beautiful heart, generous spirit, creativity, laughter, and the lasting impact she made on everyone blessed to know and love her. Her love and the precious memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her devoted husband, Patrick Littlejohn; her loving mother, Parmella "Sissy" Caroline Presto; her stepfather, Kenneth Presto; her stepsister, Cristina Presto and niece, Alexi Dean; her goddaughters, Braelyne Sjurset, Leah Om, and Lilly Om; her godsons, Tylor Om and Triy Om; her grandparents, Pete Farmer and Caroline Farmer; her mother-in-law, Debra Littlejohn; sister-in-law, Precious Mona Jackson; brother-in law, Michael Littlejohn, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. Among those holding treasured memories of Caroline is her special friend, Ashly Marshall, who will forever cherish the laughter, friendship, and unforgettable moments they shared. Caroline also leaves behind her beloved companion, Pepper, who brought her much joy and will surely miss her loving presence.
Caroline was preceded in death by her father, Dwayne Foy and her grandparents, Marvine and Doris Foy.
A Celebration of Caroline's life will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Gastonia First Assembly of God, 777 South Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Armstrong Cemetery.
