Doris Newton Jenkins

Doris Newton Jenkins, 72, of Dallas, NC, passed away, Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at her residence.
She was born February 21, 1948 in Cabarrus Co, NC, daughter of the late Buford Julius Newton and Virginia Cleaver Newton.
Doris was a member of South Macon Baptist and was a Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jenkins; son, Shane Jenkins; brothers, Dennis Ray Newton and Pete Newton.
Doris is survived by her children, David Allen and wife Jennie, Larry Dabbs and wife Kelly, Tammy Jenkins and Hallie Akins; brother, Butch Newton; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
