Doris Heffner

Doris Heffner, 83, of Hampstead, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at her residence.
She was born October 19, 1938, in Spartanburg Co, SC, daughter of the late J.D. Hayes and Janie Hamilton.
Doris was of the Baptist faith and taught Sunday School in Gastonia, for many years. She formerly worked at Rex #2, in Ranlo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randall Heffner; several brothers; and one sister.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Teresa Cardwell and husband Kelly, and Amy Rutherford; several brothers and sisters; and grandchild, Morgan Rutherford.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon, Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont.
