Doris Ferguson

Doris Taylor Ferguson, 75, of Kings Mountain, passed away, Friday, April 6, 2018 at her residence.

Doris was born May 13, 1942, Habersham County, GA, daughter of the late Fred England and Hazel Crunkleton Brymer.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Jeffrey Allen Oxendine; daughters, Lisa Whitaker and husband Tony, Betty Rector; sister, Dorothy Kirby; Grandchildren, Derrick and Tiffany Upchurch, Ricky, Travis and Christy Whitaker, Timmy Hail, Mindy Weaver, Donnie Osborne, Furman, Bobby and Stevie Lee; 3 Great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Upchurch, Jr; daughter, Tonda Joann Kelley Covard; brother, Furman Taylor; sister, Betty Maney.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia, NC officiated by Rev. Jimmy Maney.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, April 9, 2018 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.

Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
