Doris Foy Carrigan

Doris Foy Carrigan, 81, of Dallas, passed away March 22, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born October 14, 1934, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Fred and Leola Richards.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons Richard L. Foy and wife Kay of Wilmington, NC and M. Lee Foy of Dallas, NC; grandchildren Kate Audrey Foy and Samuel Pierce Foy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Marvin Lester Foy and Joel Wilkins Carrigan; son Dwayne Edward Foy and sister Ruth Richards Eaker.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1513 Florida Street, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Vick Wilfong.

The family will receive friends 11:00 – 12:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1513 Florida Street, Gastonia, NC 28052.
