Doris Mildred Black Welch

Doris Mildred Black Welch, 86, of Gastonia, passed away July 24, 2018 at the Brian Center.
She was born March 31, 1932 in Gaston County, the daughter of the late Leonard Homer Black and Daphne Forner Black.
Doris was a very loving woman and was loved by her family.
She is survived by her sisters, JoAnn Spears and Sue Ann Hall; brother, Robert Black and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Norman Thomas Welch will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, with the Rev. Michael Horne officiating.
The family wishes to say a special thank you to the nurses and staff at The Brian Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ranlo Baptist Church, 1517 Spencer Mountain Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
