Doris Bagwell

Doris Bagwell, 87, of Bessemer City, passed away February 28, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 29, 1928, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late William Herbert Frye and Essie Huffman Frye.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Bagwell; brothers, Harvey and James Frye; sisters, Lucille McAlister and Helen Norman and grandson Jeffery Branch.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, John Bagwell (Pam) of Gastonia; daughter, Wanda Gail Branch (Buddy) surfside Beach, SC, and extended family of 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 11 am Thursday at Westview Gardens, officiated by Pastor Olin Byrum.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
