Doreen Lee Dameron

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen Lee Dameron, who left us peacefully on February 2, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on March 8, 1960, in Meadville, PA, Doreen spent her life making a difference through her work as a General Manager in the retail industry. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her. She was the neighborhood "Mama".

Doreen is survived by her loving husband, Willie Dameron, and her beloved daughters, Cristal Brown, Christin McKay, Carol "Keri" Canipe (Jerry); son, Christopher "Chip" McKay; sisters, Marilyn "Snooky" Price, Michele Hammer (Taft); fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was a source of inspiration and strength, and her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched.

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Marilyn Smith; brother in law, Randy Price.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Kevin McClure will take place at Cornerstone Family Worship Center, 709 Rankin Avenue, Mt. Holly, NC, on February 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM, providing friends and family an opportunity to come together to celebrate her life. A visitation will be held on the same day at 4:00 PM at the same location, where we will share memories, stories, and honor Doreen's lasting legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to appreciate the loved ones in your life, just as Doreen did every day. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
