Donnie Dodson, Sr.

DALLAS Donnie Dodson Sr., 59, passed away Oct. 30, 2014, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, with his family by his side. Donnie was a loving brother, father, and grandfather. He lived and breathed to give others a reason to smile. Donnie is survived by four children: Dawn Wilkin, Donnie Wesley Dodson Jr., Christopher Dodson, and Stephen Dodson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, who all cherished him as "Papaw". A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Nov. 9, 2014, at Plainview Baptist Church, 3640 Dallas High Shoals Hwy, Dallas. In honor of Donnie's love for children, memorials may be made to: Levine Children's Hospital - 1000 Blythe Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
