Donnie Gunn

Donnie Gunn, 65, of Lincolnton, passed away February 23, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.    He was born May 28, 1952 in Gaston County, son of the late Oscar and Viola King Gunn.    Donnie was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.  He was well loved by many and will be greatly missed.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.    Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Dustan Gunn of Lincolnton, Robbie Gunn and wife Rachele of Gastonia; the mother of his children, Dena Gunn of Belmont; grandchildren, Timothy Moody, Payton, Madison, Kinzie, Holden, and Hailey Gunn; brothers, Charles Gunn and wife Jalon of Gastonia, Billy Gunn and wife Cynthia of Clover; sisters, Havis Hale and Lindy Beckham; sisters-in-law, Nita Gunn, Ellen Gunn, and Lena Gunn; a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.    A memorial service, officiated by Pastor JR Gunn will be held 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.    Inurnment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
