Donna Oliver

Donna Sloan Oliver, 78, of Cherryville, NC, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at her residence. She was born on June 12, 1947 to the late OA Lee Rippy and Genevieve Oats.

Donna attended First Baptist Church in Gastonia. She was the former owner and operator of a mobile home dealership with several locations. She loved to go on trips and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all she came across. She loved her family and had a big heart.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her son, Danny Swanner.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Horace "Chuck" Oliver; son, Rodney Swanner (Denise); sister, Jeanette Potter (Paul); grandchildren, Bryan Swanner, Kody Swanner; great-grandchild, Addison Swanner; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service officiated by Reverend Johnathan Bryson will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, 12:00 noon at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC.
