Donna Kay Fleming

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Kay Baker Fleming, who left us on November 5, 2026. Born on February 19, 1947, in Clintwood, Virginia, Donna was a cherished resident of Gastonia, North Carolina, where she spent her life surrounded by loved ones.

Donna was a devoted wife to her husband of over 63 years, Larry Fleming; daughter, Tamara Glaza (Al); son, Douglas Fleming (Tracie); grandchildren, Austin Glaza (Caroline), Grant Glaza, Connor Glaza, Iris Hanna, Brooke Fleming, and Courtney Fleming; siblings, Paula Mooney, Becky Miller, and Johnny Baker. All of her family meant everything to her.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Stuart and Gladys Baker; siblings, Betty Mooney, Bob Baker, and Nancy Martin.

She had a warm spirit and a loving heart, always putting her loved ones first. Her work as a respiratory therapy technician at Gaston Memorial Hospital, reflected her caring nature, as she dedicated herself to helping others throughout her career.

After a life well-lived, Donna will be remembered for her kindness and her unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She loved to bake sweets for her family, always filling everyone with joy.

A private service will be held to honor her memory. Please consider honoring Donna's memory by spending time with your loved ones-just as she would have wanted.
