Donald Leroy Sanders, 83, of Asheville, passed away on October 12, 2017 at Hospice of Asheville.
He was born, July 22, 1934 in Gaston County, son of the late Roby W. and Mae Faulkner Sanders. Served in the army during the Korean War. Retired from Gerber Foods Systems.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife Frankie Sanders; children, Michelle, Donna Sanders, Steve Bush, Linda McKinney; brothers, Bill and Sandra Sanders, Paul and Ann Sanders, Mitchell Sanders; sister, Darlene and Jim Hoyle; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Saundra and Nancy Sanders.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers; Claude, Bou and Jerry Sanders; sister Jean Sanders.
Memorial service will be held, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3106 Union Road, Gastonia, NC with visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
