Donald "Donnie" Ray Doster

Donald "Donnie" Ray Doster, age 66, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, December 10th. Don was born on March 25th, 1952 in Gaston County, son of the late Raymond and Eula Doster. Don was a graduate of Hunter Huss high school in 1970. Starting out as a small business owner, Don built a great company through hard work and dedication. He was a dedicated servant to the Lord and an Elder in the church where he loved to fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ. Don lived a wonderful, full life with his wife of 47 years, Cheryle. He is survived by his wife Cheryle, daughter Hope Doster Upchurch (and her husband Dean) of Denver, NC; son Donald Ray Doster II (and his wife Natalie) of Mooresville, NC. Don had five grandchildren Hunter Faith Mullis, Matthew Alexander Upchurch, the late Elizabeth Hope Upchurch, Donald Rea Doster III, and Ava Marie Doster. He is also survived by his three brothers Ronnie Doster, Gary Doster, Wayne Doster (and his wife Laura), and his sister Catrina Doster Simpson. A beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed and eternally loved.

The receiving of friends will be held 6-8 pm Saturday, December 15th, at Greene Funeral Services - West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia. The celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, December 16th, at New Testament Church of the First Born, 1510 Hargrove Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Kevin Kellough, Pastor Curtis Wilson and Pastor Scott Huffstetler.
Interment will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.
