Donald Buddy Picklesimer

Dallas, NC Donald "Buddy" Picklesimer, 66, passed away September 14, 2013 at his home. He was born January 31, 1947 in Gaston County, son of the late Verlon Leon Picklesimer and Marie Black Love. Buddy also known as "Droopy" on the CB radio, loved his family. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, Dallas. A funeral service will be held 3pm on Thursday at Maranatha Baptist Church, Dallas, officiated by Rev. Chris Doster. The family will receive friends 6-9 pm on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont, NC after the service on Thursday. Mr. Picklesimer is survived by: his wife of over 48 years, Joyce Picklesimer; son, Joe Picklesimer and wife, Pam; daughters, Teresa Barrett and her fiance, Dale Wilson, Cindy Belt; brothers, James Picklesimer, Robert Picklesimer Love; sister, Nancy Hudson; grandchildren, Daphne, Blake, Brooke, Daniel, Vicky, Riley, Lillee, Little Blake, Brittany; 15 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his sister, Debra Redmond; grandchild, Tina Faith Ann. Memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, 104 Downey Lake Rd., Dallas, NC 28034. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
