Donald Ray Hulcey, Sr.

Donald Ray Hulcey, Sr., 68, of Gastonia, passed away August 16, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born July 27, 1947, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late, Helen Hulcey Ervin and John Ance Hulcey. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 46 years, Clydia Hulcey; son, Donald R. Hulcey II; daughter, Dana Hulcey Daniels and husband, Craig; grandchildren, Tommy and Tyler McCuen, Cheyenne Hulcey; brothers, Jerry Autry and wife, Grace, Tommy Hulcey, David Hulcey and wife, Pat; sisters, Mary Blackwood and husband, Wayne, Faye Hulcey; mother-in-law, Jeanie Walker and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Autry Palmer. A funeral service will be held 3 pm Thursday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Walt Griggs. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
