Donald Christian Gillelan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Christian Gillelan, who left us on March 23, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on August 21, 1970, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Donald was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, known for his warm spirit and genuine love of life.

Donald grew up in North Carolina and spent his career as a lineman for Duke Energy, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues. He had a knack for bringing people together, often hosting cookouts that filled the air with laughter and the smell of delicious food. Fishing was another passion of his; he cherished the quiet moments spent by the water, both for the thrill of the catch and the time spent with friends and family.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Patricia Gillelan, sons, Christian Wheeling and Brian Greene, his brother, Christopher Gillelan, and his uncle, Edward Auten. The love he shared with his family and friends will always be remembered and cherished.

All services will be private by the family.
