Gastonia, NC - Donald "Steven" Gentry, 56, of Gastonia, passed away March 2, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born May 29, 1957, native of Gaston County, son of the late Donald and Dorothy Gentry. All services will be private. Donald is survived by: son, Matthew Gentry of Gastonia; daughter, Chelsey Tisdale and spouse, Ian of Gastonia; step-son, Joshua Hollifield of Gastonia; brothers, Bob, Bill, Randy and Roger Perkins; sisters, Patricia England and spouse, Bobby of Dallas, Tina Carver; grandchildren, Brandon Tisdale and Hannah Hollifield. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Gentry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society - 1901 Brunswick Ave., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
