Donald "Big Duck" Terry

Donald "Big Duck" Terry, 78, of Kings Mountain, passed away August 25, 2022, at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

He was born May 28, 1944, in Gaston County, son of the late Hustell Terry and Bessie Lee.

Donald retired form Firestone after 30 plus years of service.

Those who knew him best not only will miss Donald but will miss his notorious Rick Flair "Wooooo" and his Donald Duck impersonation.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Tammy Styers and husband Mark; sister, Margie Silvers and husband Clarence; grandchildren, Kristen "Erik" Nance, Hailey Brooke Nance and fiancé, Christopher Woidyla.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by brothers, Bud Terry, James Terry; sisters, Deedee Woody, Pete McGlamoury.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, August 29, 2022, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette.

The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 pm Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
