Dock N. Ayers Jr., 73, of Gastonia, passed away on December 15, 2015, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas.
He was born September 2, 1942, in McDowell County, son of the late Dock Nelson Ayers Sr. and Wortlie McKinney Ayers.
A celebration of Dock's life will be held 4:30 p.m. Sunday, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Gaston Hospice P.O. Box 3984 Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
