Diane Jordan

Diane Benefield Jordan, 67, of Gastonia, passed away December 30, 2016 at Testa Hospice in Kings Mountain.

She was born May 24, 1949 in Anniston, AL, daughter of Katherine Crumbley Benefield of Gastonia and the late Amos Balious Benefield.

Mrs. Jordan was of the Baptist Faith.

She was employed with Harris Teeter for almost 15 years.

Left to cherish her memories, in addition to her mother, are her loving husband of over 50 ½ years, Danny Jordan of the home; son, Joe Jordan and fiancée Annette Costa of Blacksburg, SC; daughter, Lori Evatt and husband Adam of Gastonia; son, Josh Jordan and wife Erika of Durham; daughter, LeAnn Medley and husband Brandon of Gastonia; grandchildren, Luke Evatt, Sarah Medley, Jaxon Jordan, Lillian Jordan, and Paislee Medley; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pat and Coyt Matthews, Mike and Cathy Jordan, Susie and Grant Kester, Vivian Jordan, and Sandra Jordan, all of Gastonia, Peggy Jordan of Commerce, GA, Bill Jordan of Ellerbe, and Ann Jordan of Ellerbe; numerous nieces and nephews.

Diane was also a mother to many others and was affectionately known as "Nana Diane".

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Bobby Meeks, will be held 2 pm Wednesday, January 4, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday.

Interment will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
