Dewayne Randolph Hamacher

Dewayne Randolph Hamacher, 56, of Cherryville, passed away February 19, 2022, at Atrium Health – Cleveland, in Shelby, NC.

Dewayne was born December 3, 1965 in Gaston County, NC to Mitchell and Shelia Welch Hamacher.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Gilbert; paternal grandfather, William Hamacher; and paternal great-grandparents, Henry and Minnie Hamacher.

In addition to his parents, Dewayne is survived by his wife, Helen Hamacher; son, Zachary Hamacher; brothers, Steve Hamacher and wife Tracy, and Michael Hamacher and wife Tina; nephew, Austin Hamacher; nieces, Lauran Hamacher and Kayli Hamacher; and fiancé, Wendy King.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Tommy Self, will be held at South Marietta Street Baptist Church, 911 S. Marietta St., Gastonia, NC, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 1:00 pm.  The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
