Destani Breanna May, 18, of Cramerton, passed away December 10, 2017, at Carolinas Medical Center.
She was born February 10, 1999, in Gaston County, daughter of Avery Clinton May, and Rhonda Gibson May.
She is now experiencing "the gain of death" (Philippians 1:21) and left the land of the dying for the land of the living.
She will be missed by all who know her, she graduated from Highland Tech, was on the A B Honor Roll, and started her freshman year at Eastern Carolina University, she loved her nephews and her family dearly, loved to read books, loved movies and animals, and loved making people smile.
Left to cherish her memories are her father, Avery "Pete" May; mother, Rhonda Gibson May; step-father, William "Bill" Johnson; step-mother, Crystal Moore; siblings, Justin May, Joshua Hayes, Brandi May; step-sister, Jessica Jabonete; nieces and nephews Diego Donoso, Gabriel Henderson, Dylan Donoso, Aurora Jabonete, Sullivan Jabonete; maternal grandparents, Frances and Brent Colgan; paternal grandparents, Charles and Sarah May; spiritual grandparents, Dell and Terry Moore; boyfriend, BJay Hopper; bestfriend Zandria; many cousins, aunts and uncles; and fur baby, Bella.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 14, at Catawba Heights Baptist Church, 311 Belmont Mt. Holly Rd., Belmont, NC, 28012, officiated by Pastor Raymond Johns.
A visitation will be held after the service until 9:00 p.m.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
