Derrick "Randy" Randall Bridges

Derrick Randall "Randy" Bridges, 61, of Bessemer City, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at his residence.

He was born August 25, 1959, in Haywood Co, NC, son of Betty Sales Austin and the late George Everett Bridges.

Randy was of the Baptist Faith. He was a loving father and worked very hard for his family. Helping others was a strong part of what made Randy the person he was.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Jerry Austin; and brother-in-law, Alan Keeter.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Debbie Bridges; daughters, Jennifer Bridges and fiancé, Michael Buchanan, Amber Bridges and husband, Michael Griffin, Tabitha Bridges and fiancé, Chris Merritt and Brittany Bridges and husband, John Crawford; half-brother, Jim Bridges; sisters, Diane Snyder and husband, Robby, Carla Keeter and Rhonda Bridges; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Aaliyah and Derek Colpa, Anastasia and Victoria Griffin, Kaylee and Kamden Grayson, Jase and Jordyn Merritt and Addilynn Crawford; and numerous nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

A celebration of life officiated by Rev. Timothy Griffin will be held 3pm on Monday, August 2, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
