Dennis Whitesides

Dennis Ray Whitesides, age 73, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at Cardinal Healthcare in Lincolnton. Son of the late Neil Whitesides and Edith Porter Stone, he was born March 8, 1941 in Gastonia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Linda H. Whitesides. Mr. Whitesides is survived by his stepsons, Harold Chastain and wife Rose, Will Chastain and wife Natasha; brothers, Reginald Whitesides and wife Doris, Richard Strange and wife Helen; uncle, David Watts and wife Bertha; aunt, Joanne Perkins and husband George; grandson, Seth Chastain. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jack Watts, will be held at 2 pm on Monday, December 8, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
