Delores Gail Swanson

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Delores Gail Swanson, aged 75, who left us on February 4, 2026. Born on August 30, 1950, in Mecklenburg County North Carolina, Delores built a life filled with love and warmth in Mount Holly.

Delores spent many years working as a spinner in the cotton textiles industry, a role that she approached with dedication and passion. She will be remembered for her strong work ethic and her caring nature. A beloved member of Yorkwood Church of God, Gastonia, Delores found joy and strength in her faith, forming lasting bonds with those around her.

Delores is survived by her son, Christopher Swanson; brother, Marvin Swanson (Lori); who will forever cherish their memories together. As we say goodbye to Delores, we honor her spirit and the love she shared with everyone who knew her.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Delores's life with a graveside service to be held at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC, at 1:00 PM , on Thursday, February 12, 2026, officiated by Reverend Davis Syander. We invite those who knew and loved Delores to join us in remembering the beautiful life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Delores. You will be missed deeply.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Swanson and Allene Sorrells Swanson.
