Delbia Jean Wilson

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Delbia Jean Wilson's passing, just three days shy of her 73rd birthday. Born on February 8, 1953, in South Carolina, Delbia spent her later years in Dallas, North Carolina.

Delbia was a member of South Gastonia Church of God and a former member of Ranlo Church of God, where she taught Sunday School. She was a technician at Park Dale Mills for over 25 years. She loved to minister to the residents at the nursing facilities. She was an advocate for children.

Left to cherish her memory is her special friend, Brenda Duckworth; her sons, Robert Watson, David Watson Jr, Jacob Knott; daughter, Lesia Knott; grandchildren, Kaycee Warlick (Tyler), Robbie Watson, Brianna Garcia (Jorge) Harley Wayne Whitesides; three great-grandchildren. Her spirit and laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Delbia is preceded in death by her parents, Wade Whitley and Helen Rector; husband, Charles Wilson; twin sister, Glory Leonard; brother, Billy Wade Whitley; grandson, Clint Watson; son in law, Mike Knott.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. We will then come together to celebrate Delbia's life at her graveside service on February 10, 2026, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, starting at 2:00 PM.

In this time of grief, let us honor Delbia's memory and hold close the moments we shared with her. She will be laid to rest with her husband Charles, surrounded by the beauty she always cherished.
