Dee White, Jr.

Dee White, Jr., 87, of Gastonia passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 10, 1928 in Gaston County, son of the late Dee White, Sr. and Lonia Gertrude White. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memories are his son, James White and wife Rondia; daughters, Donna Rhinehart and husband Joey, Sharron Wolford and husband Kevin, Elaine Sparkman and husband Danny; brothers, J.C. White and Charles White; sisters, Lilie Smith and Betty Parsons; ten grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lillie Lucille Wilkinson White. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Chapel Grove Baptist Church 716 Camp Rotary Road, Gastonia. Pastor Roger Overton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia. Memorials may be sent to Chapel Grove Baptist Church 716 Camp Rotary Road, Gastonia. Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
