Debra Kay Mcclure

Debra "Debbie" Kay Brommer McClure, 59, went home to be with the Lord April 21, 2015. She was born February 15, 1956, the daughter of the late Grace Scruggs Brommer and James Madison Heavner. Debra was a member of East Baptist Church in Gastonia. She loved the Lord, being around her family and going to the mountains and beach. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, aunt and sister-in-law. She loved helping people and being like a mother to others. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Roger McClure; sons, Jack Costner, Scott McClure and fiancé Carrie Lu Quates, Jesse McClure and fiancé Kristal Whitson; granddaughter, Daphne McClure; sister, Melinda Heavner and brother Danny and Robin Brommer; sister-in-law, Elaine McClure Padgett; nieces, Jessica Stephanie, Tilissa, Jackie, Robin, Dawn, Jamie and special niece and caregiver, Tammy Brommer; nephews, Jason, James, Ben, Robert and Shane; numerous great-nieces and nephews; friends, Gail Brown, Barbara Ramsey and Pam Lane. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry, James, Mike and Gary Brommer; sisters, Sandra Yvonne Brommer Long and Sharon Brommer; mother and father-in-laws Jesse and Ollie McClure. A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Timothy Parker. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
