It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Deborah Faye McKinney, who left this world on May 29, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on September 2, 1951, Deborah resided in Bessemer City, North Carolina, where she touched the lives of many with her unwavering faith and vibrant spirit.

She found great joy in her relationship with the Lord, regularly attending church services and embracing the warmth of her faith community. Deborah had a deep love for music; her beautiful piano playing and heartfelt singing brought joy not only to her home but also to all who were fortunate enough to hear her voice.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Lois Huntsinger; daughter, Tammy Boyd; brother, Jerry Huntsinger and sister-in-law, Rebekah; niece, Suanne Hayden; nephew, Jerry Huntsinger Jr.

She is survived by her sons, John Boyd (Kelly), Joshua Boyd; daughter, Justy Hope (Tony); grandchildren, Jessica Spizzo (Michael), Mary Beth Queen, Brittany Brant (Joseph), Caleb Green; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Judy Carroll.

A funeral service to celebrate Deborah's life will be held at 11 am Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Harvest Baptist Church, 311 North 14th Street Bessemer City. The visitation will be 10 -11 am hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

As we reflect on her life, we will remember Deborah not just for the years she spent with us, but for the love, laughter, and inspiration she shared. Though she may have departed this earthly realm, her spirit will forever resonate in our memories and in the music she cherished.

The West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, is honored to serve the McKinney family.
