Debora Sue Mcphillips

Debora Sue McPhillips, 60, of Gastonia, passed away September 12, 2016 at her residence.

She was born July 5, 1956 in Jasper County, Texas, the daughter of Dorothy Easley Williams and the late Hamp Horace Holmes.

Debora was a woman who loved deeply.  She was married to her husband Patrick McPhillips for almost 34 years.  She and Patrick worked hard to raise three beautiful children.  She was a woman who loved to be in nature and exploring new things.  She loved being a grandmother even more.  Her family was very important to her and she will be missed by everyone who ever had the opportunity to know her.

Left to cherish her memories along with her mother are her loving husband Patrick McPhillips; children Angelia McPhillips, Jennifer Kuhn and Jeremy McPhillips; grandchildren Holden and Hannah Kuhn; sisters Shelly Vannoy, Karla Harris, Kristi Holmes, Lisa Morris, Crystal Holmes and Teresa Barbay; brothers Darren Williams and Cody Holmes.

A memorial service, officiated by the Rev. Jerry Millwood, will be held 3 pm Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
