Deborah Ann Wright

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Wright, known to those close to her as Debbie, who left us on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Cherryville, North Carolina, at the age of 74. She was born on November 14, 1951, in Gastonia, North Carolina, to the late Patterson and Virginia Earle.

Always the avid gardener, she loved painting as much as decorating and always enjoyed time with her friends and family. She will be missed and remembered by those who knew her as a kind soul, a good friend, the best sister, and a wonderful mother.

Surviving to cherish the memories are her daughter, Jena Goodman of Cramerton, NC and son, Joshua Wright (Nicole) of Bermuda Run, NC; grandchildren, Lucas and Madeleine Wright and Alexandra Necole Koone; sister, Trish Wagoner (Darrell) of Burlington, NC.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James Alexander Wright of Black Mountain, North Carolina and Socastee / Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

A Memorial Service officiated by Reverend Sam Barnette, will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd Gastonia, NC 28052.
