David Truett

David Eugene Truett, 47, of Gastonia, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

A native of Gaston County, born on November 11, 1973, David was the son of Floyd and Gloria Sawyer Truett.

David was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Freightliner Union.

David is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rev. H.A. and Dorothy Sawyer, and paternal grandparents, Wayne, and Mary Truett.

Left to cherish David's memories are his wife, Kellie Truett; parents, Floyd, and Gloria Truett; daughter, Tiffany Denise Truett; sister, Amy Hill and husband Tuba; and nieces and nephews, Jason, Justin, Emily and Chloe.

A funeral service, officiated by Revs. Bob Sneed and Ted Smith, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 16, 2021at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment to follow the service at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.
