David N. Thomasson Jr.

David N. Thomasson, Jr., 76, of Clover, SC, passed away April 9, 2017, at his  residence.

He was born June 19, 1940 in Swain County, NC, the son of the late David Newton Thomasson, Sr. and Lorene Moose Thomasson.

David retired from Freightliner in Gastonia.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Sally Lee Thomasson; fur baby, Trixie; children, Lisa Riddle, Michael Barrett and wife Melissa and family, Ginger Parker, Randy Parker; grandchildren, James Thomasson and wife Samantha, Justin, Tony, Tristan, Jessica, Samantha, Stacey and Steven; great-grandchildren, A.J. and Abigail Thomasson, McKenna and Adrianna and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lillian Jarrard; sons, Mark and Allen Thomasson and niece, Cathy Moore.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Raleigh Castelloe, will be held 2 pm Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 1 – 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Westview Gardens.
