David Isaac Spurling, Sr.

David Isaac Spurling, Sr. 60, of Dallas passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home. He was born December 8, 1956 in Gaston County, son of the late Roy and Rebecca Spurling. David was employed with J&L Machine Fabricators for over 10 years. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 40 years Sheba Beaver Spurling; son, David Spurling Jr. and wife Laura; daughter, Dana Bryant and husband Gregory; brothers, Joel Spurling and wife Kim, Roy Spurling and wife Nelta; sisters, Rosie Jory and husband Bill, Janet Cope and husband Nelson, Anna Peppard and husband Johnathan, Mary Azzarelli and husband John; grandchildren, Holden, Isabella and Luciana Bryant, Jared, Abigail,  Isaac and Addison Spurling; 6 nieces and 6 nephews; special niece, Marissa Godfrey. A funeral service officiated by Doctor Warner Doles and Pastor Charles Keller will be held 3:30 pm Sunday at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church of Gastonia. The family will receive friends 2:30 – 3:30 at the church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
