David Chester Shook

David Chester Shook, 66, of Lincolnton, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at his residence.

David was born April 4, 1954 in Newton, NC.

He served in the US Army, then worked as a correctional officer for the State of NC.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Thomas Shook.

He is survived by his son, Michael Shook and wife Julie, of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Nathan Snyder, of Atlanta, GA, Noah Shook, Gabriel Shook, Adin Shook and Grace Shook, all of Gastonia, NC; brother-in-law, Philip Thomas and wife Carol; niece, Donna Dellinger; and nephew, Larry Chapman, all of Lincolnton, NC.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. Larry Chapman, will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the South River Baptist Church Cemetery - 2036 Southside Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to South River Baptist Church.
