David Anthony Rodriguez

David Anthony Rodriguez, 53, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born January 26, 1968, in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Gilbert Rodriguez and Edna Dawn Rodriguez.

David loved music and to play the drums. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed the outdoors and the beach. He was the owner and operator of his own landscaping company. David always joked around and wanted to make others smile. He said if he could get one person to smile, it made his day. He never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Anita Teague and Dinah Flynn.

David is survived by his angel, Toni Pate; daughter, Danielle Miller; brother, Mark Rodriguez (Heather); nieces, Kelsey Rodriguez, and Leslie Blakenship Smalt; several grandchildren; and numerous friends.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Austin Rammell, will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene - 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. The family will receive friends after the memorial service.
