David Edward Ramey, Jr.

David Edward Ramey Jr., 51, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at his residence.

He was born in Gaston County on September 28, 1971, to the late Ed and Ann Ramey.

David was a member of Connections Church in Belmont, NC. He was a member of the South Point Volunteer Fire Department. He was formerly with Kings Transportation and Fagala Transport, and worked at the Wood Shed.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Lefler Ramey; sons, Brett Davidson, Alex Singleton; daughter, Alana Singleton; brother Joe Ramey and wife Joy; sisters, Marsha Hughes and husband Jackie, Bobbie Parfitt, Cynthia Davis; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Scott Hay and Pastor Robert Thompson will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematory, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC at 12:00 Noon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the funeral home prior to the service.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the South Point Volunteer Fire Department.
