David Martin Petrie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Martin Petrie, who left us on October 2, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on March 28, 1967, in Oswego, New York, David embraced life with an open heart and a zest for living.

David was known for his selflessness and his warmth. He had a passion for helping others and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. A friendly conversationalist, he could light up any room with his stories and infectious laughter. He cherished spending time at the beach and created countless memories with his grandchildren, playing games and enjoying every moment with them.

He was a deeply religious man, finding strength in his faith and sharing that light with those around him.

Left to cherish David's memories are his wife, Michelle Petrie; daughters, Erica Petrie and Megan Petrie; sons, Matthew Petrie and Michael Stevens; grandchildren, Renesme, Logan, Rhiley, and Arie.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Karen Petrie; sisters, Christine, Ann, and Patty; son, James Stevens.

A celebration of David's life will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Service South Chapel, where family and friends will gather to remember the vibrant spirit he brought into our lives. A visitation will be held the evening before, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the same location. Following the service, David will be laid to rest at Hollywood Cemetery.

David Martin Petrie will be greatly missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
