David "Dawg" Paysour

David "Dawg" Paysour Sr, 41, of Bessemer City, NC, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

A native of Gaston County, he was born on September 15, 1982, to the late Elizabeth Hardin Cathey.

David is also preceded in death by his aunt, Patricia McGee; and his uncle, David Larry Paysour.

David is survived by his son, David Paysour Jr.; daughter, Kaitlyn Paysour (Noah Palmer); brothers, Timothy Cathey, Billy Cathey (Tonya), Joseph McAbee, and Steven Paysour; sisters, Sherry Simonds (Michael), Kellie Keough (Mike); grandchildren, Eternity Palmer, Infinity Palmer; nephews, Jon Jon Paysour, Keith Paysour, Alex Paysour, Anthony Paysour, Jaybird Crunkleton, Jayden Adams, Jorden Adams; nieces, Tiffany Cathey, Autumn Cathey.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Home, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
