David Eugene Mcgill Jr.

David Eugene McGill, Jr., 51, of Kings Mountain, went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2012, at his home after battling cancer. He was born February 16, 1961 in Gaston County, son of the late David "Dean" McGill Sr. A memorial service will be held 4pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Joe Heffner. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment is private. He is survived by: parents, Virginia and Frank Collier of Gastonia; daughter, Amber McGill of Kings Mountain; son, James "Jamie" McGill of Charlotte; grandson, Jason Jenkins; sister, Elaine Pagell and her fiance`, John Blackwell of Kings Mountain; brother, Houston Collier and wife, Lori of Gastonia; half brother,Gary McGill of Gastonia; half-sister, Deana McGill of Gastonia; step-mother, Lucille McGill of Andrews; step-sisters, Susan Newton of Peach Tree, NC, Michele Jacobs of Andrews, NC; step-brothers, Ricky and Chucky Gregory of Andrews, NC; a very special cousin, Pam Bradley of Gastonia; 1 niece, 3 nephews, 1 great niece, 2 great nephews. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by: grandfather, Roy T. Hardy; nephew, Matthew McGill.
