David Matheney

David Matheney, 57, of Lowell, passed away November 10, 2014, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born October 23, 1957 in Cleveland County, son of the late Troy Mack and Patsy Joan Matheney. David loved his family, he never met a stranger. He loved the outdoors and to play golf. David loved and lived life to its fullest. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Elisa Matheney; son, Jordan Wilde; daughters, Leslie Smith and husband, Josh, Hailey and Emily Wilde; brothers, Dale and Dennis Matheney; grandchildren, Morgan Smith and Adalynn and Braylon Thomas. A funeral service will be held 3 pm on Thursday at Grace Baptist Church - 2200 Auten Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Joe Hensley. Visitation will be held 1 - 3 pm on Thursday prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
